Dadá invites young children to play through surprising shapes, colours, words, music and mime. A theatrical experience that awakens the senses and reveals how reality is ever-changing and open to many different, complementary interpretations. It is an active, sensory journey designed to explore how art and creativity support growth and learning. Inspired by the work and spirit of the artists Joan Miró, Yayoi Kusama and Jeff Koons, this production is designed for fun and discovery, with a dramaturgy rooted in contemporary creative processes, where the most important element is the artist’s inner connection and complete identification with their work. Art opens our minds, transforms us and connects us to the world.

Bambalina Teatre Practicable

Founded in Valencia in 1981, the company has focused its artistic gaze on the unique form of puppet theatre. The company has always stood out for its commitment to expanding the language of puppetry into clearly interdisciplinary realms, presenting works with a dynamic dramaturgy closely connected to the visual arts. Over its long history, the company has brought to the stage several iconic works from the universal literary and musical repertoire, including Pinocchio, Don Quixote, Ulysses, Cyrano de Bergerac, Alice, Master Peter’s Puppet Show, The Tale of the Soldier, La Cenerentola, Carmen, and The Hunchback of Notre Dame.

In August 2019, the company premiered Hamlet—its first Shakespeare—at the Sagunt a Escena Festival. Its latest adaptation is Curial y Güelfa, which premiered in 2023 and was presented at the Teatro Municipal de Algemesí, the Muestra de Teatro de Alcoy and the Elche Medieval Festival. Edipo, adapted by Jaume Policarpo, premiered in November 2020 at Teatro El Musical in Valencia. In 2023, an expanded version—Edipo Rey—was restaged to open the 40th edition of the Sagunt a Escena Festival. The production was later programmed at the 2024 Mérida International Classical Theatre Festival, and is currently nominated for Best Production, Best Direction and Best Musical Composition at the 2024 IVC Performing Arts Awards.
